This is the seventh book in the Nancy Atherton series? I think. I don't have my little cheat book to let me know. But it's a good girlie mystery. I can't read too many of these in a row because the main character in many of them, Lori, I find more than a little aggravating. But I always love the stories, which usually involve WWII and are always solved with the help of a magical ghost and a pink stuffed rabbit named Reginald. And I'm always a sucker for settings in which characters are snowed in somewhere. I think it's because it gives me hope that the next time that happens to me (I live in Colorado, and while not always a problem, it's not entirely unusual either), I could be in a grand mansion meeting cute boys rather than being stuck in my parents' basement for days on end.
It's the 9th in the series according to http://www.stopyourekillingme.com/ , a wonderful resource for mystery buffs. (No, I'm not connected to the site; I just adore it.)
I don't think I've read this one yet. Like you, I can't handle much Lori at a time. But they are fun indulgences now and then.
